11 yrs. old

What made you interested in playing basketball?
One day, while in 6th grade P.E., some of my friends were having a contest to see who could jump the highest by touching the net. And one of my friends insisted that I try also. When I jumped, I actually grabbed the rim with two hands. The P.E. teacher saw me and gave me a basketball and told me to see if I could dunk it. I did. From that point on, basketball has been my life.

Do you remember your first organized basketball game?
Dec. 1994- Spalding Co. Recreation: Celtics

How did you play and how did it make you feel?
I didn’t play well at all. It was my first organized game and totally different than playing backyard basketball. I was super nervous and I don’t think I scored.

When did you begin to take basketball seriously and why?
I began to take basketball seriously when the high school varsity coach would come watch me during 8th grade P.E. to see what all the fuss was about.My game did a total 360 from my first Rec. game to the last game. I received Co-MVP Award at the end of the season.

Does your family support you playing basketball?

What influenced you to play basketball?
My friends, because we all loved basketball.

What is your favorite aspect of playing basketball?
My favorite aspect of basketball would have to be the competitiveness of the game.

What is your motivation to play?
I love basketball (My first love).

Salad/ Pasta

Yes- Stress Fracture

Defense and penetrating the defense

Yes because in order to play at the higher level you have to keep your body well tuned.

What is life outside of basketball for you?
I’m a father of three beautiful daughters and a husband of a beautiful wife (Family Man).

Do you get a lot of attention because you play basketball?

What are your plans after your basketball career is over?
Hopefully to Coach at high school level.

Yes. Instead of listening to my heart and choosing the college I wanted to attend, I let the people around me dictate the decision.
